A beautiful extension of the hotel's historic lobby, the Winter Garden is a beautiful atrium space, designed to offer guests a respite far from the dash of city life.
Gorgeous stained glass adorns the ceiling, graceful columns underscore the impressive height and the intricate marble floor grounds the space with masterful detailing. The opulence of the setting is offset by a delicate palette of cream and gold, and an abundance of natural light from the windows that overlook the atrium garden. Potted palms add a whimsical touch to the décor. A soothing water feature and the soft tinkling of live piano music echo the overall feeling of calm and refined turn-of-the-century elegance.
Reminiscent of a scene from an epic film such as "1900" directed by world-renowned Bernardo Bertolucci – a past guest of the hotel – the Winter Garden City Lounge celebrates world-class hospitality and style. Opera Nights at the Winter Garden
Gracefully aligned with the fine essence of the historic Hotel Grande Bretagne and the enchanting environment of the hotel’s city lounge, the “Opera Nights at the Winter Garden” debut with a duet of a soprano and a tenor.
The last month of autumn, November, is exclusively dedicated to the renowned arias uniquely performed by famous Maria Callas whereas, December will introduce us to the warmest winter welcome through the sophisticated and festive Christmas sounds.
